The Ultimate Big 5 Safari in Kenya

Embark on a wildlife safari in Kenya and witness the legendary Big 5 in their natural habitat. From the vast plains of the Masai Mara to the dramatic views of Amboseli, our bush Kenya safaris bring you face-to-face with Africa’s most iconic wildlife. Here is where you can expect to see these majestic animals during your wildlife safari:

Types of Big 5 Safaris

Family Safaris

A family safari is designed with every age group in mind. Picture arriving in the famous Mara’s plains with your children, wide-eyed as lions hunt across the fields. Days are tailored for both excitement and comfort—shorter game drives for younger explorers, with opportunities to spot leopards, zebras, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, and giraffes up close. Afternoons bring guided bush walks or storytelling sessions around a campfire with the Maasai people. Parents can relax knowing that lodges offer interconnecting rooms, child-friendly menus, and caring staff. By the end, your children won’t just remember the animals—they’ll remember it as the trip that brought the family closer.

Photography Safaris

For photography enthusiasts, Kenya’s Big 5 landscapes are like stepping into a living documentary. Imagine starting your morning with golden light spilling over the Maasai Mara, as your guide positions the vehicle for the perfect shot of a lioness with her cubs. Throughout the day, wide savannahs, dramatic skies, and moments like elephants splashing in Amboseli’s swamps offer endless opportunities for your lens. Our guides understand composition and will help you anticipate wildlife behavior for those once-in-a-lifetime shots. Whether capturing the Great Migration in the Mara River crossing or the quiet stare of a leopard at dusk, your portfolio will tell the untold stories of Africa.

Solo Safaris

Travelling solo doesn’t mean travelling alone. From the moment you land in Nairobi, you’ll be welcomed into a safe and guided journey tailored to help you reconnect with nature and yourself. Most days begin with serene mornings on game drives, giving you the perfect chance to reflect while spotting rhinos grazing or buffalo herds crossing open plains. Evenings offer the chance to share a table with like-minded travelers, exchange safari stories, or simply enjoy a quiet dinner overlooking the bush. It’s the perfect mix of independence and connection—a deeply personal adventure where every sighting feels like it’s just for you.

Couple Safari

A couple’s Big 5 safari blends romance with discovery. Start your mornings drifting above the savannah in a hot air balloon, champagne breakfast waiting after touchdown. Spend the day exploring together—tracking leopards in Maasai Mara or watching elephants with Kilimanjaro as your backdrop in Amboseli. Back at your lodge, enjoy a private dinner under the stars or a couple’s massage after a thrilling game drive. For honeymoons, anniversaries, or just because, a couple's safari transforms every moment into a memory worth cherishing forever.

Senior Citizen Safari

Senior safaris are paced for comfort without losing the thrill. Expect comfortable lodge transfers, relaxed stays in each location, and carefully designed game drives that avoid unnecessary, bumpy stretches. Your guides will ensure easy access to sightings—whether it’s a pride of lions resting in the shade or a rhino grazing near Lake Nakuru. Lodges are handpicked for excellent service, spacious rooms, and delicious meals. Each evening brings the joy of recounting the day’s sightings over dinner, before retiring to the sound of the African night—a safari that’s as restful as it is remarkable.

Group Safari

Travelling with friends, colleagues, or extended family? Group safaris deliver energy and shared excitement. From the first game drive, every lion spotted or leopard stalking becomes a collective celebration. Vehicles can be booked exclusively for your group, while lodges provide villas and shared spaces perfect for social evenings. Imagine laughter around the fire after a day of spotting the Big 5, or cheering together as wildebeest thunder across the Mara River during the Great Migration. A group safari is lively, cost-effective, and packed with unforgettable moments best shared.
